"Ultimate Wolverine" Is An Ultimate Killer

Ultimate Wolverine
The "Ultimate Wolverine #1" is now available as it kicks off the first new ongoing title of the second year of the reborn Ultimate Universe. And as advertised, the new Ultimate Wolverine is also the Ultimate Winter Soldier, bearing that codename as a mindless weapon in service of the Maker's villainous cabal.

And like the mainstream Marvel Universe Winter Soldier, Bucky Barnes, the Ultimate Wolverine version has a backstory that is rife with tragedy and the loss of old friends, combined with elements of Logan's classic Weapon X origins. But for the new Ultimate Wolverine, his time as Winter Soldier will come at an even greater personal cost than for Bucky.

A Basic Guide To Manga Comics

Manga Demographics
The term Manga is used to define a wide variety of comic books and graphic novels originally produced and published in Japan. Unlike American comic books, which are usually printed in full color, Japanese manga are almost always published in black and white. Full-color prints are often only used for special releases.

Japanese manga is read right-to-left rather than left-to-right, which is the norm for English language publications. This can take some getting used to if you have only ever read English publications, but you will hardly notice once you’ve practiced enough.

Justice League Unlimited #1 Opens Several Subplots

JL Unlimited #1
It cannot be denied that comparisons between "Justice League Unlimited #1" and the animated series of the same name will be the talk in social media. It is because they are also profoundly apt.

Both stories center around a reformed legion of DC Comics‘ superheroes, expanded after what was seemingly Earth’s darkest hour. Both build upon an already excellent series to highlight the glory and variety of the DC Universe.

"We are Filipino, not Filipinx. You need to study first."

Filipino, not Filipinx
Comic-Con International was a source of controversy online over the use of the controversial term "Filipinx" on their social media posts.

Comic Sales Down

Marvel Sales
Marvel has found itself in an online civil war after a top executive suggested too much diversity and female characters were to blame for declining comic sales.

The issue started when the company’s vice president of sales, David Gabriel, was asked by geek culture trade magazine ICv2 at the Marvel Retailer Summit why the company's numbers were down. His reply: "What we heard was that people didn’t want any more diversity. They didn’t want female characters out there. That’s what we heard, whether we believe that or not. I don’t know that that’s really true, but that’s what we saw in sales."

Marvel Comics May Be Losing Ground

New and Despicable Avengers
In January 2015, sales of Marvel Comics has started to slowdown as they isolate their loyal fan base and rejected the original canon in favor of appeasing the transgenders, gays, midgets, east Indians, H1b workers, Muslims and illegal aliens. They aspire to be the liberal's wet dream and ignore the stories that comic purists has supported for decades.

In July 2015, DC Comics made a historical jump and a huge surge to topple Marvel comics in terms of print sales. The trend will most certainly continue after Marvel announced a new set of unpopular characters.

Big Revelations About DC's Rebirth

DC's Rebirth
In a few short hours, DC is heralding a new era for its comics, both creatively and in terms of its story, with the release of DC Universe: Rebirth #1.

The series isn't a continuity reboot, per se; instead, it is a kind of thematic pivot involving a crazy twist. It begins with "DC Universe: Rebirth", a giant-sized standalone comic by writer (and DC Entertainment chief creative officer, as well as reported new co-head of DC’s film operations) Geoff Johns and a bevy of artists. It changes the post-2011 status quo significantly.
