Melanie Adams is a name everyone hoped to hear and cheer at the time of the London Olympic Games this year. Born in Melbourne Australia, Adams picked up pole vaulting at the young age of eleven. At age nineteen, standing at 1.71m, with the beach blonde look and with exceptional fitness, Melanie has already achieved much. She has been a promotional model at several car racing events, and is a fierce competitor in the athletics world – her field of expertise is pole-vault.
She has won two national under age titles and has a personal best of 3.8 meters. Breaking her foot in 2007 set her back but has made a recover just in time for this year’s Commonwealth Games. Melanie hopes to one day compete in the miss universe pageant as her model hobby is starting to get more serious and turning in to a career.
It does not hurt that she is so beautiful. Her charm and charisma has endeared herself to various talent competitions and she has been placed in Miss Teen Australia and the Bartercard Miss V8 Supercar quests.
