First Look At "Legend Of Zelda" Live Action Movie

Legend Of Zelda
The first look at Sony and Nintendo’s live-action "Legend of Zelda" movie is here.

Images released last 17 November on the Nintendo Today app offer a sneak peek at young actors Bo Bragason and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, who play the magical Princess Zelda and green-clad swordsman Link, respectively, in the film adaptation of the beloved video game.

The initial photos show Link and Zelda standing in a lush green field, Zelda with her bow and arrow and both actors sporting costumes complete with Hylian ears.

Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto, who is producing the film, revealed the casting of Link and Zelda over the summer, writing in a social media post: "I am pleased to announce that for the live-action film of ‘The Legend of Zelda,’ Zelda will be played by Bo Bragason-san, and Link by Benjamin Evan Ainsworth-san. I am very much looking forward to seeing both of them on the big screen."

English actor Bragason is known for her roles in the BBC One series "Three Girls" and "The Jetty," as well as Disney+’s "Renegade Nell." Last year, she starred in Euros Lyn’s vampire comedy film "The Radleys."

Ainsworth, who is also English, was the voice of Pinocchio in Robert Zemeckis’ live-action "Pinocchio" and played Miles in the Netflix series "The Haunting of Bly Manor." He also stars in the Canadian comedy series "Son of a Critch" and appeared in an episode of Netflix’s "The Sandman."

This early, fans and followers are hoping that the film will stick to the whole plot of the game, which is Link setting out to rescue Princess Zelda and defeat Gabon in the world of Hyrule.

There should be no character changes that need to occur, no updates for modern audiences, no race swaps and no LGBT agenda. Pretty simple.
