The new photos of Sydney Sweeney from a photoshoot for the footwear brand, HEYDUDE, have made fans go wild over the "Euphoria" star’s beauty. It also proves that Sweeney's advertising power has not wavered, but skyrocketed after the "Good Genes" ad for American Eagle.
On 23 September, the brand shared a carousel of two captivating photos featuring the actor on Instagram. She was rocking a simple brown jacket. Fans can’t get enough of the actor’s beauty, with one admirer writing that she is "THE MOST BEAUTIFUL GIRL IN THE WORLD RN," in the comments section.
Sydney Sweeney styled the brown jacket by donning a minimalistic white top underneath it. The "Anyone but You" actor paired the jacket with a pair of the "Austin Lift" loafers in a shade of brown from the brand HEYDUDE. A perfectly complementary latte makeup and open hair completed her look.
It can be recalled that last July, a very small number of online commentators homed in on how the blond-haired, blue-eyed actor was repping a prominent American brand in such fashion at a time when the President Donald Trump has put back common sense by doing away with diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) efforts and moved to aggressively deport illegal aliens.
Sayantani DasGupta, a lecturer at Columbia University, said in a TikTok video that the (American Eagle) campaign was "really imbued with eugenic messaging" and compared its tagline to remarks President Trump made in 2020 about how Minnesotans had "good genes."
Despite the negligible backlash, American Eagle stocks have jumped, up 20 percent over the past five days. Many observers have deemed it a meme stock.
