The Saint Louis Science Center will introduce a new series of adult-themed, after-hours events this summer, inviting adults to rediscover science through interactive and immersive activities.
The events will be offered through "Science Center Up Late," an adult-focused program that provides hands-on experience in STEM: Science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Science Center Up Late will invite guests ages 21 and older to engage their curiosity in science through activities and networking with professionals in various fields.
"At the Saint Louis Science Center, we believe that science and STEM opportunities are for everyone," says Science Center Associate Director of Special Projects Neville Crenshaw.
"With one-of-a-kind experiences and a deep dive into STEM themes, along with the hundreds of hands-on activities available across the Science Center’s ten galleries, the Science Center Up Late programs will offer a fun way for adult guests to find their place in science."
The first event in the Science Center Up Late series will be "Experience Sound" on 19 July, highlighting the science and technology behind the harmonic notes heard and felt through music, movies and nature. This will include several exhibits, displays and even some games and sensory tests.
Additional events will be hosted up to four times each year, with the next Science Center Up Late event currently planned for 25 October.
