Rippaverse Experienced A Setback Because Of 'Controversy'

Rippaverse
Do you still remember Rippaverse? It was a comic company founded by Eric July in 2025 that defies "woke awareness" and left-leaning political agenda. Its first publication, Isom #1, already brought more than US$ 1.7 million in pre-orders in just the first four days.

This year, July made a startling revelation. The Isom creator revealed that the comic book company had plans to work with an artist agency on future projects. Unfortunately, the agency decided to drop the Rippaverse over "controversy."

"For the sake of respect and professionalism, I will not name the agency involved," July wrote in a social media post. "As many of you know, the Rippaverse has a mountain of projects coming down the pipeline for 2025 and beyond. This creates a lot of opportunity for artists. We recently started communication with a decently known Western comic book agency that manages a lot of solid talent. Some of this talent is very well-known."

July emphasized that there was enthusiasm for this alliance and that about a dozen or so artists would be working on over fifteen projects, some had already been kicked off. That would change when the agency decided to drop out unexpectantly.

"I received an email from the agency head that they are pulling all of their artists from their various projects," July explained. "Why? Because, and I quote, they 'became conscious of some controversies.' I didn’t ask what those controversies were, and it is unimportant. There’s no sense in trying to work with people that don’t want to work with you."

"Though this delays several projects, I wished them well and will not do anything to spite them," he added.

July assured fans that the work will continue before explaining how the Rippaverse has been targeted before over its politics, even by those claiming to be "anti cancel culture." Mentioning why the Rippaverse looks in certain sectors for their talent.

"Despite all of this, I look forward to giving some hungry artists these projects. The Rippaverse will continue to grow despite the challenges or hurdles," July said.

July has often chosen to take the high road when dealing with critics and detractors, choosing to focus on the fans and bringing them quality graphic novels and comics.

Later, July posted an update, reporting that several artists had reached out, offering to help with the Rippaverse.

"Though I didn’t plan this, I’m spending the front half of the day going through this mountain of artists that saw the most recent post, reached out, and they are ready for work," he said. "Shoutout to all of you, and this is one of the more awesome things the success we’ve been blessed with. It creates a lot of good-paying gigs for artists, in an industry that many feel needs to be rekindled. WE MOVE!"

As of the writing of this article, the second volume of their female hero Yaira has reached over two hundred and fifty dollars, and their upcoming release of their prequel "The Great War Of Separation".
