Last year, Mrs. Yeezy was spotted in a sheer leotard and athletic trouser, while Gigi’s little sister was papped in a deep V-neck bodysuit and Adidas tracksuit. Both times, they wore their pants low enough to flash their ilium to the world just to say that they are not FAT.
And it looks as though designers have been paying attention. Nina Ricci’s creative director Guillaume Henry gave us a one-shoulder knit bodysuit with a belted wide-leg trouser for Pre-Fall, while up-and-comer Heron Preston included the street-inspired combination of turtleneck bodysuit and oversize, camo print utility pants in his Paris show over the weekend. Just as the crop top has become a runway and street style favorite, warm weather will guarantee a lot more of this hip-exposing look.
