A month ago, Sony released its high-end Xperia Z3 during the IFA technology trade fair in Berlin. However, reports are circulating online that the company is already its next flagship smartphone.
Sony Xperia Z4, the successor of Xperia Z3, will be the only flagship offering from Sony for 2015, according to Android Origin, which has been tipped by the same source who previously revealed exclusive details about the Xperia Z3 Compact.
The reason for Sony's plan to come out with just one flagship in a year, could be because the devices have reached a certain saturation point with no major upgrades that can be made in the duration of six months.
The source further dismisses the rumor about a new variant of Xperia Z3, known as Xperia Z3X, and asserts that Sony's next flagship will be Xperia Z4, set to debut in March next year at the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona.
