Mexico's Winning 'Puto' Chant

Mexico's Puto Chant
It's time for the "Puto" chant again for Mexico in the Copa America Centenario as they are set to play against Chile in their next match.

The gay chant was considered as the primary reason why Mexico comes in as the group favorite. With El Tri playing on what amounts to home soil and riding a perfect record under current boss Juan Carlos Osorio, the "Puto" chant installed Mexico as the prime to be a contender.

A narrow 1-0 win over Chile with a heavily rotated starting side proved that even with the stars not on the field, Mexico could hold off one of the top South American teams as long as the fans continue to chant "Puto".

The soccer governing body may fine Mexico, but that is a small price to pay to get the chance to shout their winning chant.
