Miley Cyrus is trending again and I guess everyone knows why. Not for her dreaded ponytail, or even her clothes or lack of it, or the first to wear nipple pasties, or even for her ROYGBV ensemble — but for saying the word breast, and all its synonyms, the most amount of times in a single interview.
The singer, who will host the MTV VMAs on 30 August, sat down with Jimmy Kimmel last 26 August in a pantsuit embellished with multi-colored over-sized rhinestones. The jacket was only buttoned at the top, revealing nipple pasties underneath. "I’m a little cold. I should've worn a shirt," the 22-year-old said.
Her nakedness acting as an icebreaker (it also worked when meeting Paul McCartney) Kimmel, who has a 23-year-old daughter himself, asked Cyrus what her father thinks when she dresses in her unique way in front of such large audiences. "My dad doesn’t know how to turn on the TV," she quipped. "He'd rather have me with my tits out and being a good person than have my shirt on and be a bitch."
The "Wrecking Ball" artist, who also wore gummy candy-shaped earrings and emoji jewelry, went on to question people’s anxiousness surrounding boobs.
"The humans aren't afraid of the human breast. It's the nipple that's the issue," she astutely noted. "I’m showing my boobs and no one has a problem but the nipples are covered so somehow that's OK. So America is actually fine with tits, it's nipples they don't like," she said, and proceeded to point out that everyone has them, even Kimmel. "The nipple what you can't show everyone has but," she grabs herself, "the jug part that everyone doesn't you’re allowed to show underboob. I've never understood the way that works."
