The Official Portrait of the Obamas is Anything Like The Obamas

Obamas
The official portraits for former President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama were unveiled last 12 February at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C., and most people tend to agree that those doesn't look like the Obamas at all.

Standing onstage at the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C., the couple watched as their official portraits were unveiled. And the Twitter was flooded by millions of critics saying that those paintings were not done by any professionals at all, but were chose because well ... they were black.

Michelle Obama's portrait, painted by Amy Sherald, depicts the former first lady in a white dress with geometric patterns, set in front of a pale blue background. But it doesn't look like her at all.

Barack Obama's portrait, painted by Kehinde Wiley, showed the president wearing a suit (but no tie) and seated in a chair with a backdrop of leaves and flowers.

One critic said that to put the President in a bunch of poison ivy looking leaves is disgraceful. In short, these paintings are horrible.

Compared to the other Presidential portraits, the latest work pales in comparison when it comes to class.
