News Update: The NES Classic Edition is already widely out of stock and Amazon is the last chance for consumers. Nintendo has released the following statement on the shortages:
Instead of allowing customers to pre-order the system, Amazon chose to email people who have indicated their interest in purchasing the micro console with a series of helpful tips to nab one.
"The Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition system is a hot item, and we are working hard to keep up with consumer demand. There will be a steady flow of additional systems through the holiday shopping season and into the new year. Please contact your local retailers to check product availability. A selection of participating retailers can be found at www.Nintendo.com/nes-classic."Nintendo’s adorable NES Classic was already on sale last 12 November and, according to an email from Amazon, those interested in picking one up were already online as early as 2:00 P.M. Pacific Time.
