Pokémon Not Allowed Within MMDA

MMDA and Pokemon Go
The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA), one of the key regulators of road traffic and primary enforcer of the new law against distracted driving, has a weird problem on its hands. Its main headquarters on EDSA has been designated a Pokémon gym, and some employees have apparently been lured to play during office hours, triggering tough warning from higher-ups.

Noting that it has caught his attention that some employees are "addicted" to the new phenomenon, Chairman Emerson Carlos of the MMDA prohibits all employees from playing the Pokémon Go craze during office hours.

'Those who will be caught shall be dealt with administrative sanctions," Carlos said in his one page memorandum to employees stressing that it can hamper their working hours.

The MMDA office has been designated as the "Wallflowers Pokémon Gym" where the public who have found enjoyment in the game can catch Pokémon.
