An honest mistake or simply a marketing gimmick? Nobody knows except Samsung after it accidentally referred to the Galaxy S7 Edge on its website. The unit was supposed to be presented in late February 2016.
In official documentation published to Samsung's developer page, which specifically addresses the uses for the unique "edge" of the screen, Samsung mentions the "Galaxy S7 Edge," in addition to the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.
The company doesn't provide any additional detail on the phone, but the mention of it by name seems to confirm what everyone already knows: that the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge will be announced on 21 February during Mobile World Congress.
