The New and Retooled Motorola Droid Turbo 2

Droid Turbo 2
Motorola has just announced a new smartphone coming to market outside of the United States, called the Moto X Force. It is essentially the Droid Turbo 2 announced for Verizon earlier, without the atrocious Verizon logo on the front.

The Moto X Force will be the first smartphone to offer Motorola’s Shattershield display. Motorola has worked on the display for three years, and is so confident that the 5.4-inch quad-HD display won’t shatter that it’s offering a four-year repair guarantee for any accidental damage.

For additional points in the strength category, the Moto X Force also comes with a water-repellent coating to protect from small splashes. Motorola is not as confident on this feature to offer a repair guarantee, but it may still save the phone from heavy rain or a quick dip.

Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, and a massive 3,760mAh battery with fast charging power the Moto X Force. On the back sits a 21-megapixel Sony sensor with dual-LED flash and optical image stabilization.

The Moto X Force will be available in the United Kingdom by mid-November, costing £499 for 32GB or £534 for 64GB of storage.
